New Business Mileage Deduction for 2009
The IRS announced that the federal mileage deduction for 2009 is $.55 per business mile driven.
This is believed to be in part to counteract the rising price of gasoline recently.
What that means to you if you track mileage for your Federal Income Tax is that it's more important than ever to maintain an accurate mileage log. And wouldn't it be nice if it were easier to do as well?
Well, now there is an easier way to track your mileage because of a product called Mileage Logger by a company named Vulocity.
It's a small unit about the size of a pack of cigarettes that plugs into your car's cigaretter lighter.
It uses GPS (Global Positioning System) tracking to monitor and record your car's mileage.
Think of it … you can now keep track of your car's mileage automatically without having to scramble to write down your begining and ending mileage each time you drive for business.
If you keep track of mileage for business, you simply owe it to yourself to checkout the Mileage Logger to see just how simple this tedious chore has become in 2009!
